With 41 years of experience since 1981, she is an M.B.B.S. graduate from Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, trained in Sonology at Mediscan and Laparoscopy at GEM & VG Hospital, Coimbatore. As the first obstetrician in the region to manage HIV+ antenatal mothers in the early 1990s, she has safely delivered over 250 HIV+ babies, earning the “Best Woman Award” from the Lions Club of Namakkal in 1998.
